Winfred can provide an excellent source of energy and protein (approximately 22%). Winfred is highly palatable and digestible with its high leaf ratio. Pacer was bred for fast, vigorous establishment and quick maturity. It also has more leaf structure than most other forage turnips and is multi-crowned for improved re-growth potential even after aggressive animal foraging. Sugar beets and purple top turnips are a long time standard in the food plot world.
